Cheek Implants in West Hollywood

High, prominent, and full cheekbones are sought after features. Some people of all ages may have less full or altered cheeks. The appearance of cheeks that have been altered due to sagging or a loss of volume to the face can be distressing to many people. Cheek implants can add lift and volume to your face. Oftentimes, ageing people seek ways to give their faces a youthful and soft lift. The desired and achieved effect with this procedure is fuller, more lifted facial features.

WHAT IS IT?

Cheek implants are also known as cheek augmentation. To enhance the look of a patient’s cheeks, there are implants inserted. For this procedure you can have malar and submalar implants augmentation. To know which type of implant is best for you, a consultation with a doctor is a must.

These implants are small and silicon based. During the procedure they are inserted through an incision. An advantage of this choice of procedure is that the solid implants provide a strong structure to the face as opposed to soft gel filler which cannot provide the same amount of support to the face.

Sizing, shape, and position of the implant can vary. These variations depend on the size and shape of the patient's cheekbones and facial structure. To get the desired effect and look, a patient will need an in depth consultation with an experienced doctor.

What To Expect After Surgery

After any surgery, it is very common to have swelling during the healing process. Depending on your body’s reaction to surgery, staying in the hospital can vary by how many days.

The procedure will be followed by detailed doctors instruction and care information. Sometimes this will include water and food that are safe to consume on the regime that you are assigned. Painkillers will also be offered as a form of pain management after your procedure. When taking any prescribed medication, special care should be taken to follow instructions and warning signs on painkillers. Another pain management solution that can be used is a cold compress. This may also reduce swelling on your cheekbones.

Smoking and doing strenuous activities is not good for the healing process. Another thing to consider when you are healing from your cheek implants is your sleeping patterns. To minimise swelling it is important to keep your head elevated and to sleep facing up. You want to avoid sleeping on your face as this will be healing for many weeks.
